Below are products and services that I really LOVE and recommend highly. If you purchase after clicking one of the affiliate links I’ll earn some coffee money which I promise to drink while creating new designs. You will not pay a higher price. Thanks for your support.
When I start a hobby I tend to go overboard and get All. The. Things. So here’s a list of my favorites. I’ll add more along the way as new things come out that I just have to have! 😉
Tools of the Trade
Cricut Maker 3 It’s so much faster than the previous model. I had a Cricut Maker but I have to say this one is worth the upgrade!
Cricut Mats: StandardGrip 12×12 – 12×24, LightGrip 12×12 – 12×24, StrongGrip 12×12 – 12×24, FabricGrip 12×12 – 12×24. I have most of these mats but use the StandardGrip and LightGrip (both sizes) the most.
Cricut Weeding Tool Kit I love all the different weeding tools, so handy!
Vinyl Weeding Scrap Collector Super handy for all those little vinyl scraps. I used to struggle with getting them off my weeding tool but this makes it a breeze and I love that it sticks to my table.
Cricut Basic Tool Set This is a great set that offers a lot of useful things. I love the small scissors they’re very sharp!
Rechargeable Light Pad I love this thing! It’s great for weeding. Some of my projects have very intricate lines and this light pad makes seeing those lines so much easier.
Lighted Weeding Tools I found these recently and lemme tell you it was a game changer! I love that the light is right where I need it. I only wish it was rechargeable. (I’ll update this when and if I find one I like that’s rechargeable.)
Swingline Paper Cutter (guillotine-style) This is my go to cutter. I use it for most of my cutting needs. I like that I can see exactly where I’ll be cutting and that the blade cuts straight down.
Cricut Provo Craft Trimmer This little trimmer is nice to have around and small enough to take with me.
Cricut Brayer What a handy tool for getting things smooth and free of bubbles. I like to use this when putting my vinyl on my mats and when adding my transfer tape. Super handy!
Cricut EasyPress 2 This heat press works great and I love the size, it fits even designs I put on XL shirts. I didn’t want to have to move the press around and worry that the design was moving so I go the larger one.
Cricut EasyPress Mat This mat protects my designs and my table…enough said.
Cricut EasyPress Mini I just had to get this…it’s so cute! I wanted to be able to put some vinyl on my Chucks and this worked great! Worked great on hats too!
Craft Tote Bag I don’t use this too often since I don’t travel with my Cricut much but it’s nice to be able to take it when I need to. This travel bag has room for everything!
Accessories
Cricut Premium Fine Point Replacement Blades You will definitely need these. If you find that your cuts are dragging or don’t seem to be cutting very well, change your blade. (I like getting the 10 pack so I am never left in a bind and it’s also cheaper.)
Cricut Deep-Point Blade This is similar to the fine point blade but can cut tougher material making it more versatile. I think it works better on thick cardstock.
Cricut Knife Blade This blade is more durable but can’t make a tight radius so keep that in mind when using it. I used mine for a chipboard puzzle I made for a friend.
Cricut Engraving Tip This is awesome for creating a personalized gift. The first project I engraved was a custom tag for my sister’s pup…she loved it!
Cricut Fine Debossing Tip Debossing is such a cool effect. I’ve used it for cards, and invites, it really adds a nice dimension to the project.
Cricut Rotary Blade This blade is made for fabrics, etc., and works great because the rotary doesn’t pull the material it just cuts it like a pizza cutter. I’ve used it for a couple of felt projects and it worked great!
Cricut Scoring Wheel This combo pack is great for scoring projects before folding them. I’ve used the single wheel on cards and recently tried the double on a thick cardstock to make a little gift box.
Supplies
Cricut Transfer Tape If you want to go with a generic here and there this isn’t the place to cut costs. I’ve tried lots of transfer tape/paper and had it leave a residue on the vinyl. It’s not work the headache or unhappy customer. Use this!
Cricut Premium Removable Vinyl This vinyl is great for indoor projects. I like it because sometimes I like to change things up and because it’s removable it comes off easily and doesn’t leave any sticky behind. Perfect for wall vinyl designs!
Cricut Premium Permanent Vinyl If you’re looking for permanent vinyl you can’t go wrong with this! It really sticks and lasts for years. I use this for most of my projects especially if they’re for outdoors. Here’s a much bigger roll but it doesn’t come in many colors.
Oracal 651 and Oracle 951 I’ve used both of these for outdoor projects I’ve done for businesses. They both hold up very well, but the 951 has a stronger adhesive and will last longer than the 651 (and probably the Cricut Permanent Vinyl). Plus, the Oracal 651 has a crazy amount of colors!
Etched Glass Vinyl I love this stuff! I put a cool pattern on some clear glass pendant lights and they look amazing!
Cricut Everyday Iron On I love this for most of my iron on projects. It works good and stays put.
Siser EasyWeed HTV I use this brand as well, I’ve had success with both but can’t always find the colors I’m looking for in the Cricut so I use both/either.
Cricut SportFlex Iron On Vinyl This stuff it awesome for workout shirts! I made some funny workout tanks for my sister! It stretches with the fabric!
Cricut Ultimate Fine Point Pen Set These work great for letting your Cricut do all the drawing/writing work! I’ve added some really cool designs, like mandalas and quotes to cards for family and friends. It makes a homemade card look professional and also personal.
I hope this list helps you decide what you might need/want to help you make amazing things!
*Remember it takes time (and money) to gather all. the. things. I didn’t go out and buy all this stuff at once…and some were even gifts.😉
